Founded in 2025 as a division of MDLA Landscape Architecture, Campanelli Golf offers a full suite of golf course architecture services backed by a landscape architecture studio. Rooted in the founding principles of the game and the strategic school of design, we create landscapes that challenge perception, reward imagination, and provide clubs with a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to planning. We focus on building lasting client partnerships and crafting courses that keep players returning, time and time again.

Our Team
Nick Campanelli
Nick brings 15 years of experience in golf course architecture, with a background spanning consultancy roles alongside leading golf course designers on renovation projects throughout the Northeast and Upper Midwest, as well as independent design commissions. In 2025, Campanelli Golf was launched as a division of MDLA Landscape Architecture, a New England–based design firm. Together, the two brands deliver a comprehensive approach to golf course planning and design, with Nick serving as a partner in both.

Michael D’Angelo
Mike is the founding principal of MDLA Landscape Architecture, where he collaborates closely with clients and project teams to develop creative yet practical design solutions. At Campanelli Golf, he applies his hospitality design background to enhance the experience, functionality, and long-term value of golf clubs and resort properties. Mike is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island.

Golf Course Design Consultant
Bradley S. Klein
Bradley S. Klein is a veteran golf journalist, architecture historian, and industry consultant specializing in golf course design and maintenance. A former PGA Tour caddie, he has written thousands of articles for leading golf publications and authored nine books, including Discovering Donald Ross. He founded and directed Golfweek’s Best course rating system from 1995 to 2017, has consulted on over 100 golf projects worldwide, and received the ASGCA’s Donald Ross Award for lifetime achievement in 2015.
